Where: Skagit County Public Works is hosting the Civil 3D Fundamentals Camp in Mount Vernon.

When: The camp runs (2) nights a week for four weeks starting on 9/9/09 from 6-9PM.

Course description:

This class is a practical hands-on mobile CAD Lab experience. Students will work through a basic road design project from beginning to end using Civil 3D, showing many different methods of using Civil 3D to accomplish certain tasks and solve problems along the way. The class covers the basics of basemap preparation, preliminary layout, survey plan, surfaces generation, horizontal alignments, profiles, corridor modeling, and grading.

Cost: The Camp seating capacity is is limited to 11and the costs is $395 plus textbook.

The Bellingham AutoCAD User Group is proud to sponsor the AutoCAD Civil 3D Level 1 class to be conducted at Bellingham Technical College this Fall quarter. The course information is as follows:

Start Date: September 22, to December 1

Tuesday and Thursday evenings 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Building J, Room J6A

Course Description:

This course is a practical hands-on civil/survey CAD Lab experience. Students will work through a basic road design project from beginning to end using Civil 3D, showing many different methods of using Civil 3D to accomplish certain tasks and solve problems along the way. The course covers the basics of basemap preparation, preliminary layout, survey plan, surfaces generation, horizontal alignments, profiles, corridor modeling, and grading. Students are encouraged to continue their learning with the Level 2 course. Prerequisite: Civil industry background with AutoCAD skills or instructor permission.

Course General Parameters:

• Typically (1) one hour classic lecture with the balance of time conducted as a hands-on
instructor driven lab to exercise the course materials each night.
• Textbook – Digging Into AutoCAD Civil 3D 2009- Level 1 Training by Rick Ellis of Cadapult Software Solutions, Inc.
• Course prerequisites: AutoCAD experience and Civil Background. This course is for new
and starting users of Civil 3D. This course is not for moderate or advanced Civil 3D
users.
• If the course goes well, a Civil 3D – Level 2 course may be offered as a follow up.

Entry Level Civil 3D Camp

Description:

Location: 1350 Slater Road, Suite 9, Ferndale, WA 98248

Time:
The Camp is scheduled to run on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:00-9:00 PM from 8/3 to 8/26. This provides a total of (8) evening workshops to cover a (8) chapter textbook.

Cost and Capacity:
The Camp is limited to (10) students and costs $395 + textbook, if you need one.
